A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Wessex Internet has celebrated a milestone number of connections by offering its 5,000th customer, Tytherington resident David Lester-Card, free fibre broadband.
Lester-Card was connected as part of Wessex Internet’s work across Dorset, Wiltshire and South Somerset to bring full fibre broadband to rural villages and towns.
CEO Hector Gibson Fleming, said: "This is a significant milestone not only for Wessex Internet, but also to all our current and future customers in hard-to-reach areas.”
