A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre’s £21m investment into Worcester’s digital infrastructure may unlock £131m in productivity benefits, £29m from a widened workforce, £533k in Local Authority savings and £82m in increased housing value.
This comes from a study by Hatch that also lists technological benefits including £311m in gross added value (GVA) from 5G services, £87m from the Internet of Things and £55m from Smart City initiatives.
