Wessex Internet has connected its first customer in South Wiltshire as part of an £18.8 million contract awarded by Project Gigabit, bringing faster broadband to around 14,500 residents across the region.
CityFibre has completed most of its rollout in the eastern area of Luton, with its fibre services going live for over 35,000 premises.
Cross the town, customers can access CityFibre’s service through Vodafone, TalkTalk, IDNet, Cuckoo and Zen.
Neil Madle, CityFibre’s Partnership Manager for Luton, said: “CityFibre’s investment in the town will allow more residents to unlock homeworking, streaming and gaming.
“This essential digital infrastructure is set to benefit the local community for years to come.”
