A report from industry regulator Ofcom shows that the number of homes able to get gigabit-capable broadband has increased to 25.9m, with nearly three-quarters of UK homes (22.5m or 74%) having access a full-fibre broadband service.

Gigaclear and Essex County Council have reached a settlement agreement in relation to the legal proceedings concerning broadband delivery contracts in Essex.
The altnet provider has already delivered ultrafast broadband to over 90,000 properties in Essex, and it is committed to expanding the network across the county over the next 18 months.
A Council spokesperson said: “The Council welcomes Gigaclear’s continued investment and broadband rollout in the region - this news is especially positive for residents who experience a lack of broadband connectivity in the affected areas.”
