A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.

Andy Carter, MP for Warrington South, visited Freedom Fibre’s engineers in Stockton Heath shortly ahead of the area becoming ready for service.
"I know many local residents and businesses are held back by poor and unreliable broadband and it is an issue I hear about often in my inbox and a topic I’ve raised in Parliament on numerous occasions,” he said.
“It really is great news that homes and businesses in and around Stockton Heath will soon be able to benefit from fibre.”
“Full-fibre really is the future as copper services are soon to be retired across the UK, and we're very excited to be bringing our network to the residents here and starting to connect homes in the coming weeks,” added Tony Moore, Freedom Fibre’s Chief Delivery Officer.
Freedom Fibre recently announced an expansion to its network in Cheshire, including the surrounding villages of Pickmere, Wincham, Lostock Gralam, Davenham, Moulton, Great Budworth and Barnton.
