Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

BeFibre has begun its network build in Ramsbottom and expects the first homes to go live before the end of the year according to coverage in the Bury Times.
The altnet aims to connect 17,000 properties across the region as it phases its rollout across the north.
“We’re working quickly, utilising existing ducts so we don’t have to dig up the town’s roads,” said Sales Director Tim Dangnall-Scott.
“This is less disruptive, allows us to connect homes faster, and it’s better for the environment too.”
Ramsbottom was one of the regions named in BeFibre’s 2022 rollout plans that may see the altnet have 200,000 properties ready for service by the end of the year.
