Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

BeFibre has now connected the first of approximately 3,000 premises in Brightlingsea to its fibre network having begun work in the region in November 2022.
This marks the town’s official launch of the FTTP connectivity, following ten months of preparations to design, build and test the network, constructed by BeFibre’s sister company Digital Infrastructure.
Louise Elliott, Chief Customer and Operations Officer: “We need greater connectivity than ever before, whether we’re busy with video calls, working from home, binging on boxsets, or gaming.
“Being online is now a necessary part of everyday life, therefore, we’re moving in line with an ever-evolving broadband market to ensure that we meet demand.”
