A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
BeFibre has revealed its full rollout plan for 2022, which could see the altnet have 200,000 properties ready for service by the end of the year.
Stalybridge, Ramsbottom, Heswall, Dinnington, Glossop and Gamesley, Thornton and Hambleton, Mossley, Wickersley, Hadfield and Hollingworth, have been announced for BeFibre's rollout in the north.
Gloucester’s Bowden Hall, plus Uppingham, Corby North and Oakham in the centre of England, are also on the 2022 roadmap.
Charlie Ruddy (pictured) said: “From the outset we’ve talked about positively influencing communities and that means far more than simply empowering homes with better connectivity. For example, we recently supported Brentwood Borough Council to raise more than £17k for the British Red Cross DEC Ukraine Appeal.”
BeFibre aims to create up to 500 engineering and white-collar jobs to support the growth of both organisations and the business supply chain, by the end of 2022.
Ruddy added: “We’ve kickstarted a global mobility programme to address the engineering shortage so that we won’t be held back by any resource gaps.”
