A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre is extending its full fibre rollout in Aberdeen with an additional investment of £19m to connect thousands more homes.
Work began in Aberdeen three years ago following a £40m commitment and in October 2021 CityFibre hit a milestone when it passed 500km of fibre cabling laid.
Allan McEwan, City Manager for Aberdeen, said: “There is clear demand right across Aberdeen for full fibre services and we continue to build at pace to ensure as many people benefit from our network as soon as possible.”
Build partner GCU is delivering the project on CityFibre’s behalf and Vodafone, TalkTalk, Zen and GraniteGiG by Converged are all offering services over the
