A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre’s £500k investment in Binley Woods has added over 1,018 homes to the full fibre network in nearby Coventry which already covers over 117,405 premises.
Binley Woods residents can now access services from Vodafone, TalkTalk, Zen, Giganet and more.
Area Manager Neal Wright said: “The rollout was completed in Binley Woods in the space of 76 days. It’s now one of the best-connected places in the country.”
Rugby and Bulkington MP Mark Pawsey added: “Now the build is complete it will enable full fibre technology to unlock new opportunities for my constituents. Bringing access to reliable internet access is vital for the modern age as it enables a range of uses.”
A recent Hatch report Hatch found that nearby Coventry may benefit from £51m in productivity and innovation gains and £197m from a widened workforce. Enabling 5G rollout could drive up to £2bn in positive economic impact.
