A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre recently welcomed Philip Hollobone MP for a tour of its £17m fibre rollout in Kettering.
Mr. Hollobone was introduced to full fibre network technology and provided demonstrations of the typical build process, including excavation and reinstatement.
Area Manager James Cushing said: “Thousands of homes are already able to connect to the network and will bring this step change in connectivity to the wider area as soon as possible.”
Philip Hollobone, MP for Kettering, said: “This vital infrastructure upgrade in Kettering, which in the long term, has the potential to bring a great number of benefits to businesses and residents in the town.
Locally, the rollout is being completed by CityFibre’s build partner, Granemore. The team is working closely with North Northamptonshire Council and local communities to ensure any disruption is managed safely and efficiently.
In Kettering, services are currently available from Vodafone, Giganet and many more, with other providers expected to join the network soon.
