A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre has signed a blanket wayleave agreement with Crawley Borough Council to boost its £23m rollout of a town-wide full fibre network.
Having started building in Crawley during December 2020, CityFibre is hoping that the town-wide construction will be completed in 2023, connecting almost every home and business in the area.
The agreement will see the residents of 9,000 homes managed by the Council be amongst the first to connect to CityFibre's network when it goes live.
Anne Krausse, CityFibre's City Manager for Crawley, said: "The agreement we have reached with Crawley Borough Council will make a genuine difference to thousands of people living in properties across the town and we look forward to seeing them take advantage of the benefits full fibre will bring."
