Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

CityFibre’s full fibre network build across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) now reaches 1,043km.
The BCP build began four years ago and so far homes and businesses in the Boscombe, Westbourne, Southbourne, Kinson, Talbot village, Turbary, East Howe, Wallisdown and Friars Cliff areas of the district can now connect.
The full rollout across the BCP area is more than halfway towards completion with work also ongoing in the Bearwood, Alderney, New Milton and Broadstone areas.
Adrian Smith, CityFibre’s Partnership Manager for BCP, said: “To think our fibre could now stretch the distance from Bournemouth’s beach to Barcelona’s paints a picture of how far we’ve come.”
The rollout is being completed by CityFibre’s build partner CCN Communications in collaboration with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.
