A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre has completed its £32m primary network build in Peterborough, making 67,000 homes, about 85% of the city’s residential properties, ready for service.
Since beginning the project in July 2018 CityFibre has laid almost 700km of dense full fibre infrastructure across the city
The secondary build will continue to densify and connect properties in multi-dwelling buildings and on private roads.
Peterborough is the third completed location in CityFibre’s nationwide rollout making it one of the best-connected locations in the country.
A report by the consultancy Hatch, commissioned by CityFibre, found Peterborough stands to experience gain over £293m in productivity and innovation gains and £65m from a widened workforce over a 15-year period.
