Openreach is continuing to rollout full fibre across the UK, and more than 315,000 homes and businesses in Leeds can now access faster internet, with over 80% of properties connected to the network.

Giganet has completed the first batch of locations in its full fibre rollout, making its service available to communities across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire for the first time.
The altnet’s services are available to Hampshire residents on Huntsmoor Road in Tadley, Tides Way in Totton, Underwood Road in Eastleigh and Southbourne Avenue in Fawley
In Wiltshire, residents in Rabley Wood View in Marlborough and Longcroft Road in Devizes can now choose Giagnet services. Homes in Cutlers Place in Wimborne and Coppice Avenue in Ferndown have also been connected in Dorset.
The work forms part of Giganet’s wider UK rollout, a £250m project to connect homes across the south.
Tristan Tavernier, Head of Design Network Build at Giganet, said: “We’re a year into the building programme and we’re now beginning to allow smaller communities to log on to hyper-fast broadband.
“There’s still a lot of work to be done, but we’re firmly on track to meet our 2024 target.”
