A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Community Fibre has accelerated its networking build, setting a new target to pass 2.2 million homes in London by the end of 2024.
The network operator aims to serve more than half of the 3.7 million homes in the city and has already enabled 435k homes and businesses with full fibre connectivity
CEO Graeme Oxby said: “We are working closely with landlords and councils to install better broadband across London and we have increased our commitment to making London gigabit-capable.”
The increased investment will see new jobs created across London adding to the 300 employees hired in 2021.
