Wessex Internet has won a £14m Project Gigabit contract to connect thousands of premises in and around the New Forest.

County Broadband has expanded its Bespoke Connections Team, which has now added the 200th remote property to the altnet’s core network.
Katie Munn and Tayla Butler join the team as Project Coordinator and Project Planner respectively, and Julie Farrin has been promoted to Project Manager.
County Broadband typically connects over 80% of a rural village to its network with the Bespoke Connection Team responsible for connecting the hardest-to-reach premises.
Gavin Ashkettle, Manager of County Broadband’s Bespoke Connections Team, said: “Whilst some other providers might ignore them for financial reasons, we believe it’s vital they have access to full fibre broadband just like everyone else.”
