Fastr Broadband has completed a broadband rollout in York, giving 8,000 homes and businesses access to high speeds of up to 8,000 Mbps from the full fibre network.

Fibrus is targeting 125,000 premises in north east England through the next phase of its commercial fibre rollout.
The altnet has identified 40 towns and villages in Northumberland and Durham including Blyth, Ashington, Newton Aycliffe and Morpeth that will be added to its roadmap.
Last month Fibrus confirmed it had passed 250,000 premises in rural Northern Ireland and Cumbria as it looks towards the 400,000 milestone by March 2024.
To drive the next phase, Fibrus has appointed Luke Rowett as Chief Strategy Officer. He will also lead on mergers and acquisitions and partnerships.
He said: “This expansion is an opportunity to grow our customer base into Durham and Northumberland building on our winning formula in Northern Ireland and Cumbria.”
