Fibrus is continuing to support community groups across Northern Ireland and Cumbria bridge the digital divide with the launch of the 2025 Fibrus Broadband Community Fund, which will benefit local groups and clubs.

Freedom Fibre has spearheaded a community support project with TalkTalk Business to deliver free full fibre broadband to the Higher Folds Community Centre in Leigh.
The Centre supports hundreds of local people a month and promotes the physical, social, cultural and economic betterment of the community, through training sessions, groceries and affordable childcare services.
In addition to providing a free connection, Freedom Fibre’s will participate in tech events, digital and marketing support and promote digital inclusion.
Marie Danby, Customer Operations Director, said: “Providing reliable and fast connectivity to an area that often lacks the financial resources for a high-speed connection enables residents to engage with essential services, improves education outcomes, and increases positive social engagement within the community.”
