GoFibre has completed the build of a new full fibre network in Harbottle, in the latest development to deliver broadband across north Northumberland and Teesdale.

As part of Freedom Fibre's ongoing £24 m Project Gigabit contract in North Shropshire, the altnet has now installed its green active cabinets in Hadnall, Harlescott, Montford Bridge and Cockshutt, providing residents with access to gigabit-capable broadband.
The project started in 2023, with the aim of addressing 12,000 homes and businesses in the area with full fibre to bring social and economic benefits the region.
From December 2024, Freedom Fibre expects fibre broadband will be available for residents in parts of Hadnall, Upper Battlefield, Shrewsbury, Upper Ercall, Roden, Bomere Heath & West Felton.
Freedom Fibre is also helping local communities, providing a range of social services through councils and community groups.
It has sponsored networking events run by Project SY12, BizEd Project CiC, and Wem Rural Parish Council throughout 2024.
