Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Infrastructure builder FullFibre is expanding its network to Bewdley in Worcestershire and Shipston-on-Stour in Warwickshire.
CEO Oliver Helm said: “Our main goal is to close the digital divide between rural and urban areas so that all regions across the UK have equal opportunities.
FullFibre has also seen its Fibre Heroes light up the first cabinet in Droitwich Spa which will allow hundreds of residents in the area to go live.
Fibre Heroes are wholesale network providers which allow partnered ISP’s to access their network.
Area GM of the region for Fibre Heroes, Gareth Yardley, said: “Getting the network live and able to serve a large proportion of the town has been a challenge and that challenge will continue as we work to make sure it is available to every property.”
