Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

FullFibre is now offering services to residents in Cheadle, having begun rolling out fibre in the Staffordshire market town in December 2021.
The altnet is working to connect all residents in Cheadle as well as neighbouring town Leek so that over 10,000 premises in these towns will have access to this technology.
Area General Manager, Chris Williams said: “Full fibre broadband in small market towns like Cheadle will be a major advantage to local businesses and communities.
“Having access to this technology can offer multiple benefits to these towns, especially to those now working from home.”
Mark Deaville, Staffordshire County Council cabinet member for commercial matters and local councillor for Cheadle, added: “It enables people to live and work efficiently wherever they are and so the county council fully supports the providers carrying out installation.”
