A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Gigaclear is expanding its network in Buckinghamshire with the altnet now working to add Buckingham, Maids Moreton, Chackmore, Radclive, Gawcott and Padbury to its full fibre footprint.
“We’ve been firmly established in Buckinghamshire for some time now and with this infrastructure and regional knowledge in place we are able to focus our attention on bringing the underserved market towns like Buckingham up to speed,” said Central General Manager Ben Woods.
“For many people, working from home is here to stay, so having warp speed internet is now a real necessity, and certainly valued higher than ever before.”
The project will require 117 km of fibre and is expected to be completed by early 2023.
