Openreach is continuing to rollout full fibre across the UK, and more than 315,000 homes and businesses in Leeds can now access faster internet, with over 80% of properties connected to the network.

Giganet is investing £20m to bring full fibre services to more than 18,500 homes in Hurstpierpoint and Storrington, West Sussex.
The build officially kicked off in the summer of 2022 and will connect properties in phases over the next 18 months. More than 120 jobs are expected to be created in the process
The overall project is expected to reach completion in early 2024 but the first services will go live sooner.
Giganet’s is working with local authorities and community groups, including West Sussex County Council, to provide residents with information on the status of the build and any potential roadworks.
Kevin Barry, Chief Network Build Officer at Giganet, said: “Large or small, we’re connecting communities and making sure that no one is left behind.”
