Pulse Fibre has partnered with south west homebuilder Cavanna Homes to deliver full fibre infrastructure to its new homes at Warmwell Rise in Dorset, a community of 140 two-to-four-bedroom homes.
G.Network has signed a city-wide wayleave with Hackney Council, allowing the operator to install fibre to at least 80% of Hackney Council housing in the next three years.
The altnet is already able to connect over 30,000 premises in Hackney to fibre, but currently only 32% of premises in the area can access a full fibre connection.
“We can rapidly increase that figure now we have an agreement in place with the Council,” said CEO Kevin Murphy.
The deal providers additional benefits including providers offering apprenticeships and job opportunities to residents and training for those wanting to enhance their digital skills.
Free broadband connections will be offered to several community facilities, and targeted discounts to some residents who are in financial hardship and are digitally excluded.
Initial works will start in the summer of 2022. G.Network is in negotiations with a number of other councils about signing similar agreements.
