Quickline Communications is bringing a bespoke engagement programme to 16 secondary schools in collaboration with Ahead Partnership, introducing young people to the technology and digital sectors across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
GoFibre has linked up with rural ISP Marykirk.com to bring full fibre to 1,500 premises in the Angus area.
Building will begin in June 2021 in Angus and South Aberdeenshire, eventually hoping to connect 10,000 premises to its network.
GoFibre CEO Alex Cacciamani said: “Establishing Scotland as a digital nation is vital, so building the infrastructure we need to underpin economic growth has to happen now.”
Bill Buchan, CEO at Marykirk.com, added: “There has long been a lack of rural fibre solutions from national providers. I firmly believe that connecting rural communities to full fibre is the future.”
