A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.

Altnet Grain has begun connecting homes in Hull to its full fibre network, joining Connexin as regional competition for resident ISP KCOM.
Some of the streets being connected in the first phase of the build include those around Reynoldson Street and Sharp Street, and will include Grafton Street, De Grey Street and Goddard Avenue, with plans to expand to thousands more homes in the coming months.
Tracy Karam, Head of Customer Experience for Grain said: "Our service has become even more popular in recent months, as customers rely more and more on a fast, reliable and secure network for working, learning, gaming, and entertainment."
