Fastr Broadband has completed a broadband rollout in York, giving 8,000 homes and businesses access to high speeds of up to 8,000 Mbps from the full fibre network.

Jurassic Fibre’s efforts to attract a more diverse workforce have catalysed a 209% rise in its female staff count in the last two years, an increase from 45 to 139 since 2020.
Women account for around 30% of the company’s workforce, higher than the UK tech industry average of 21.6%.
The altnet has implemented an employee package to recruit more women through part-time and flexible work, job sharing, working from home, and a menopause policy including a regular menopause café.
Victoria Winner, Chief People Officer, said: “We want to attract the best women in the region to work for us and the key is flexibility.
“Women are at the forefront of pushing the world of productive, creative, rewarding employment away from rigid working hours and systems.”
