A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre is working with Granemore Group in Kettering to deliver a £17m town-wide fibre network.
Construction work will begin in early May around the Northfield Avenue and Rockingham Road area in the north of the town.
The project is expected to be completed in 2024 with services available from Vodafone, Zen and Giganet, while TalkTalk and other providers are expected to join the network soon.
Area Manager, James Cushing said: “CityFibre’s investment will bring a step change in connectivity for Kettering. It will bring choice for residents and businesses and align with the ambitious regeneration and growth plans for the town.”
