Brsk has begun work in Salford to enable 25,000 homes and businesses in the city to access full fibre broadband.
Lightning Fibre strikes twice in Hailsham, launching its network to an additional 5,000 homes and businesses in the south of the town shortly after going live in the north.
Nusrat Ghani, MP for Wealden said: “Reliable internet access is an absolute necessity for households, schools and businesses in Wealden and poor broadband is one of the top frustrations for local residents.”
Paul Thornton, Network Director at Lightning Fibre added: “Our brand new, full fibre network is much faster and more reliable than the out-dated copper networks of the past; it’s also a greener and, in many cases, cheaper network.”
The altnet sponsors Hailsham Festival and Hailsham Bonfire Night and contributes seed funding to Hailsham Active, helping secure grant funding for community projects across the region.
