A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Netomnia is beginning its first network build in a major city, investing £39m to rollout full fibre in Liverpool.
The company is partnering with MJ Quinn to pass to around 130,000 premises as part of an initial phase of work.
Alan O’Prey, MD at Netomnia, said: “This is a particularly special project for me as Liverpool is my home and it’s a true pleasure for us to be able to bring full fibre access to thousands of homes and businesses in the area.”
Along with its sister company YouFibre, Netomnia has secured £418m in funding since 2020 to support its rollout strategy and aims to reach one million premises in 2023.
