Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Josh Babarinde OBE, Parliamentary Spokesman of the Eastbourne and Willingdon Liberal Democrats, recently joined Lightning Fibre for the unveiling of its latest Primary Node Cabinet in Hampden Park.
Lightning Fibre secured a multi-million-pound investment in 2020 to deliver fibre broadband to Eastbourne and beyond, creating almost 200 local jobs in the process.
The network rollout in Eastbourne is reaching completion. Rob Reaks, Lightning Fibre’s Sales and Marketing Director, said: “The support of local stakeholders like Josh helps us raise awareness of the ‘local network’ we’ve created using local employees and, where possible, local suppliers.”
Babarinde adds: “Decent broadband is essential for our modern demands; at work, school and at home.”
