A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Netomnia has begun rolling out fibre in Falkirk, Scotland and St Neots, Cambridgeshire, adding a total of 88,000 premises to its network.
In Falkirk, Netmonia is investing £21m to connect 70,000 premises. It has already passed 70,000 premises in Hamilton and 42,000 premises in East Kilbride.
Netomnia is working with Opals Group in St Neots to connect 18,000 premises as part of a £5.4m investment in the region.
MD Alan O’Prey said: “Netomnia’s broadband network will enable residents and businesses in both of these new area to do just about anything online, providing a connection to all the resources the internet has to offer.”
