A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Netomnia has begun its rollout in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, making it the first altnet with a presence in all four countries in the United Kingdom.
An investment of £12.9m will be made to bring fibre infrastructure to around 43,000 premises in Londonderry.
The latest round of builds extends Netomnia’s network now past 265,000 premises, all of which are ready for service
Jeremy Chelot, CEO at Netomnia, said: “Becoming the first altnet with presence in all four countries across the UK is a fantastic achievement and is testament to the great work from the entire team and our brilliant build partners.”
