A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Netomnia will make Hamilton its second rollout location in Scotland, making a £21m full fibre investment into the South Lanarkshire area.
Netomnia will provide FTTP broadband infrastructure to almost 70,000 premises in Hamilton alongside partners KN Circet.
MD Alan O’Prey said: “Hamilton has a rich heritage of impressive and historic buildings. By using existing underground ducting and overhead infrastructure, we are able to provide the technology swiftly and in a way that minimises disruption.”
Netomnia secured £123m in funding to support its rollout strategy at the end of 2021 and aims to reach one million premises by 2023.
