Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Virgin Media’s gigabit broadband services are now available to more than 20,000 additional homes and businesses in Sheffield.
The network has been built on behalf of nexfibre, which is investing £4.5bn to deliver high speed FTTH connections to five million homes across the UK by 2026.
Rajiv Datta, CEO at nexfibre said: “We’re proud to be able to facilitate access to full fibre broadband to more than 20,000 premises in Sheffield, thanks to our multi-million pound investment.
“We continue on our mission to build and expand our network in suburban and semi-rural areas, play our part in helping to close the digital divide and boost the UK economy.”
