A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Openreach’s latest build update reveals the 56 locations next in line as its full fibre rollout continues apace.
This update adds just under half a million homes and businesses, including both rural and urban areas in new locations across the country including; Aylesford, Bishop Stortford, Cambridge, Dartford, High Wycombe, Hartlepool, Peterborough and Stockton.
Overall, more than 2,700 towns, cities, boroughs, villages and hamlets are included in the company’s build programme which covers 7.2 million homes and businesses across the UK, including 2.3 million in the hardest to reach areas of the country.
The rollout will continue between now and 2026. A full list of the exchanges can be found below.
