A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Openreach has released additional information on its upcoming builds in Leamington Spa, Bolton and Pantymwyn.
These areas were alongside 16 others in Openreach’s latest tranche of build locations, representing an additional 200,000 premises.
Around 27,000 of these homes and businesses will be in Leamington Spa, where Openreach is making an £8m investment.
Across the west Midlands, 14,000 in Bilston and 8,000 in Fernhill Heath are also included.
Openreach is investing a further £10.5m in Bolton with aims to address 35,000 homes and businesses in Atley Bridge, Daubhill and Higher Bolton.
Locally Openreach has passed more than 34,000 premises in Bolton, Horwich and Westhoughton.
In Pantymwyn, 1,200 premises are set to be addressed by Openreach.
