nexfibre has published its latest quarterly build update (Q1 2025), which shows its 10GBps FTTP/XGS-PON broadband network now covers 2.2m UK premises, with scaled back coverage target for 2025 to 2.5m premises passed, reducing future build plans for the next year.

Openreach has released its first quarterly full fibre update of 2022 which adds a further 113 exchange locations to its plans.
These exchanges represent approximately one million homes and businesses which will fall under Openreach’s coverage
So far Openreach has built full fibre to around six million premises, adding around 44k new premises every week.
Openreach’s quarterly full fibre updates aim to support the government’s strategy to accelerate commercial full fibre network investment across as well as giving its stakeholders more visibility on where and when it intends to build.
