A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.

Lightning Fibre began rolling out FTTP in Eastbourne in October 2020, and can now connect premises in Polegate with the launch of the new cabinet, which was unveiled by Cllr Dunbar in his capacity of Town Mayor.
He said: “Despite the inevitable disruption of an infrastructure project of this scale, Lightning Fibre engaged with the Town Council, ward councillors and local residents when issues arose and worked quickly to rectify any problems.
“Full Fibre is the fastest and most reliable broadband technology, and I’m pleased Polegate is at the forefront of the ‘broadband revolution’ currently underway across Britain.”

With a multi-million pound investment secured in 2020, the firm has created over 200 local jobs and improved the connectivity of thousands of homes and businesses.
