A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Five further villages have been connected to Quickline’s network in the latest phase of its North Yorkshire and Lincolnshire rollout.
The coastal communities of Hunmanby and Staxton, near Scarborough, are the latest to benefit in North Yorkshire.
Keelby and Folkingham in Lincolnshire, and South Ferriby in North Lincolnshire, also now have access to the network.
These additions bring more than 6,000 households into Quickline’s footprint.
Julian Chalk, Head of Network Enablement and Engagement, said: “These communities have been forced to endure slow, unreliable broadband for too long, but not anymore!”
The fourth phase which is being funded with more than £12m from North Yorkshire Council and will connect more than 200,000 premises.
