AllPoints Fibre Networks has agreed a new multi-million-pound partnership with BT Wholesale as it continues to expand the reach of its full fibre broadband offering.
Quickline has praised the rapid intervention of two of its engineers who rescued a man from the River Trent.
Peter Etchell, 61, was mowing the lawn at the bottom of his riverside garden when the ground beneath him gave way and he fell more than 10ft down into the fast-flowing river.
Quickline engineers Mike Anscombe and Wesley Naulls who were working near the house in West Butterwick, near Scunthorpe, were called upon by his wife Cath.
The pair threw down a rope down the riverbank before hauling him to safety.
Quickline’s COO, Lee Allison, said: “This is an incredible story and we’re all rightfully proud at Quickline of how Mike and Wesley responded to what was a very serious situation.”
