Wessex Internet has connected its first customer in South Wiltshire as part of an £18.8 million contract awarded by Project Gigabit, bringing faster broadband to around 14,500 residents across the region.
Quickline’s network is now available to a total of 1,800 new homes across the Lincolnshire communities of Goulceby, Martin, Timberland and Belton.
Goulceby is located in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire and Martin and Timberland are in Lincolnshire’s North Kesteven district. Belton meanwhile is situated in the Isle of Axholme area of North Lincolnshire.
Julian Chalk, Head of Enablement and Engagement at Quickline, said: “Our full fibre broadband is a game changer for communities that have endured slow and inconsistent broadband for too long.
“Nobody should have to struggle with poor connectivity and at Quickline we are passionate about helping customers, wherever they happen to reside, to live their best digital lives.”
