Wildanet is celebrating a double-milestone in its £77m rollout of full fibre broadband in Cornwall as part of Project Gigabit, and has now connected a total of 10,000 premises in the first two phases across the south west and central parts of the region.

Gigaclear is beginning work to connect 4,500 homes in areas of Walton, south of Chesterfield, to full fibre broadband.
The altnet is also currently working in and around Matlock to connect a similar number of premises.
Regional GM Tony Smith said: “Whilst many other broadband providers compete to offer their services in dense, urban areas we’re focussing on communities that are far less likely to have a choice of supplier.”
Gigaclear’s network currently stretches across southern and central England reaching more than 360,000 properties. Derbyshire brings the number of counties served by Gigaclear to 23.
