Openreach is continuing to rollout full fibre across the UK, and more than 315,000 homes and businesses in Leeds can now access faster internet, with over 80% of properties connected to the network.

Keir Mather MP recently met up with Openreach engineers building fibre in his constituency.
He was given a tour starting with a visit to the local telephone exchange for a lesson in splicing, before driving to a housing estate to see the final stage of the network.
He said: “This is a significant local investment and great news for people living and working here in Selby and elsewhere in North Yorkshire in both our urban and rural communities.
Openreach’s network has so far connected more than 120,000 properties across North Yorkshire through an investment of £36m.
