A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
CityFibre will begin rolling out a £9.5m fibre network in Sittingbourne later this year as part of a wider investment in the Kent area.
The digital infrastructure upgrade will see fibre services become available to every home and business in Sittingbourne. This comes as part of a wider investment in the Kent area.
As work is completed in each neighbourhood, CityFibre will designate the homes ready for service, with plans available from Vodafone, TalkTalk, IDNet, Giganet and Zen.
“This technology will bring a whole host of opportunities for residents and businesses in the southeast,” said Area Manager Anne Krausse.
“Fibre is an important step in stimulating economic growth in constituencies like mine,” added Gordon Henderson MP. “It will tap into the potential of local businesses and lift the local economy."
