Freedom Fibre is no longer able to complete a contract to roll out gigabit-capable broadband to 12,000 premises in north Shropshire in full, due to changes in the external market, in a new report from the government’s Building Digital UK (BDUK) Agency.

Telcom has been selected to provide dedicated full fibre internet to the £400m St Michael’s mixed-use development in the heart of Manchester.
No. 1 St Michael’s, the £150m first phase of the development, will complete in 2024. The second phase is expected to be completed in 2027.
Telcom will supply No. 1 St Michael’s with its connected buildings solution Preconnect, to ensure commercial office tenants have access to full fibre dedicated business internet.
This will be delivered on Telcom’s own fibre and rooftop wireless network across the city.
Steven Calder, Head of Connected Buildings at Telcom, said: “We will work with Relentless Development, their partners, and the future tenants of St Michael’s to provide seamless, full fibre internet connectivity in support of their business objectives.”
