A recent report from thinkbroadband has given a unique insight and the latest statistics on UK broadband rollout and revealed that FTTP is now available to over 75% of households across the UK, with Openreach leading the way with more than half of residents coverage – an increase in full fibre of 6% since last year.

Portsmouth-based broadband provider toob is investing £5m building its own infrastructure in Locks Heath and the surrounding area.
Circa 12,000 homes and businesses will benefit from toob’s network with the service ready for its first connections from July 2024, continuing across Locks Heath, Park Gate, Warsash and the surrounding areas.
This latest development comes hot on the heels of growth across Hampshire, Surrey, Dorset, Sussex and Berkshire.
toob CEO Nick Parbutt stated: “toob has been built on our belief that access to fast, reliable broadband at an affordable price is a necessity in today’s increasingly digital world."
He also noted that toob operates a no in-contract price rise policy which means customers won’t be subject to 'costly mid-year surprises'.
