A recent survey from bOnline has shown that many SMEs are unsure about the availability of altnet in their area, with confusion over the UK’s broadband roll-out strategy.
Trust Utility Management has been awarded the contract from CityFibre to deliver its £21m network rollout in Lincoln.
The contract has prompted a recruitment drive with CityFibre and employment agency Carbon60 supporting Trust Utility Management in hiring across various roles.
Work began in Lincoln in March and when services go live customers will be able to access full fibre enabled services via Vodafone, TalkTalk and IDNet.
Neal Wright, City Manager for Lincoln, said: “This project has sparked the creation of 83 new roles, with local talent needed to help us carry out this build.”
