More than 14,000 homes and businesses in Alfreton can now access Virgin Media’s gigabit broadband services for the first time.
The network has been built on behalf of nexfibre, which is investing £4.5bn to deliver high-speed fibre-to-the-home connections to five million homes across the UK by 2026.
Rajiv Datta, CEO at nexfibre said: “nexfibre’s multi-million-pound investment in Alfreton will enable thousands of households and businesses to access the benefits of full fibre broadband, including being able to participate in the local economy and connect with the community.”
